Agadatantra is one among the eight branches of Ayurveda dealing with identification, prevention, diagnosis and management of poison of animate & inanimate origin. Forensic medicine (Vyavahara Ayurveda) which deals with medical aspect of law & Medical jurisprudence (Vidhi vaidyaka) dealing with legal aspect of practicing medicine is a part of this department.
Through this Department, students are provided with an overview of the medico-legal aspects of health sciences, components of toxicology and ethics.
Department is fully fledged with experienced faculties, well established museum & a departmental library .
Departmental Museum has charts, models, weapon set and has preserved specimens for effective teaching.
Departmental Library is having a good array of Ayurvedic and Modern books related to toxicology, Forensic medicine and Medical jurisprudence.
Reagents and necessary chemicals for carrying out basic test for demonstration of adulterants in food.
Department engages visits to snake park, forensic science laborotaries, court, as well as ensures autopsy postings for students.
He is currently working as HOD & Associate professor in the department of Agada Tantra and Vyavahara Ayurveda (Toxicology, Forensic medicine and Medical Jurisprudence). He is having 9 years of teaching experience in the subjects of Agadatantra and Vyavahara Ayurveda. Apart from this he has also taught Rasashastra and Bhaishjya kalpana for UG students. His expertise is Rasoushadhis preparations and has clinical experience in dealing with various cases such as dermatology, Allergies, toxicology and other chronic conditions.
He is also serving as NSS coordinator and conducted various Medical camps, Special camps and health awareness programmes for creating awareness among the society.
