Samhita & Siddhanta

Ayurveda vaidyaka shaastra is considered as Upaveda of Atharvaveda. Precise understanding of classical texts of Ayurveda is a challenging task and requires knowledge of Sanskrit. The Department of Samhita Siddhanta and Samskruta acts as the basic department imparting the knowledge and understanding of texts on Ayurveda. In this department, we deal with Sanskrit, the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, history of Ayurveda, interprets philosophical aspects (Padartha vijnana) and Samhitas like Charaka Samhita, sushrutha Samhita and astanga hridaya.

Shareera Rachana

To excel in the field of medicine a physician should have an accurate knowledge about the human body. Shareera rachana (Anatomy) is the core subject which deals with the structural aspects of the human body.
