Tulunad Educational Trust was established in the year 1990 with the goal of rendering quality education and touching the Indian value based system to students at early stages of their lives.
The Institute was envisioned by our trustees with the single-minded objective of imparting education that is truly a class apart. Today, that vision has culminated into a world-class organization of repute, providing education to students from diverse cross-cultural backgrounds. Having grown from strength to strength, presently the Trust is running 8 Educational Institutions under the brand name SHARADA, in the field of Health care, CBSE affiliated schools and Pre-University Colleges, Science & Commerce College, all situated in Mangalore, Karnataka catering to over 7000 students.

We, at Sharada Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital strive to instill in our students an appreciation for the meaning of service, a love of learning that will stay with them throughout their professional lives and a sense of duty to their patients, their colleagues and their community.
Sharada Ayurveda Medical College is designed to foster excellence in the future leaders of medicine. The focus of our educational program is not merely the transfer of information but the transformation of the learner.
The experienced faculty have designed a program to provide a broad, rigorous and flexible foundation that will enable students to reach their highest potential. Along with the modern college infrastructure, we also have multi-specialty 100 bedded hospital for our students to get hands-on experience in practicing Ayurveda medicine. Here students are trained to develop sensitivity to the world of the patient and to the social contexts in which medicine is practiced.

Life is a divine process which provides us with several opportunities to be both successful and satisfied which is also the aim of every human being. Ayurveda is a science which speaks volumes about the divine process of life. Though Ayurveda is perceived in different ways by people at large, it is a simple understanding of the complex process of life.
Ayurveda is a part of every human being in many ways knowingly or unknowingly. With its holistic approach it provides solutions to most problems encountered in physical, mental, social and spiritual domains in life. However Ayurveda strongly propagates the philosophy of prevention first and cure next. This very core value of Ayurveda has been attracting health enthusiasts from all corners of the world. Though Ayurveda is often mistaken as just a system of herbal remedies, it is for people to realize that such limited understanding of this ancient science will lead to its underutilization.
At Sharada we have a long and credible history of imparting a value based education which goes a long way in not only shaping up one’s career but also inculcating core values which helps an individual to sail through testing times in life. We emphasize on grooming our students to become both successful and responsible citizens apart from being empathetic doctors. Primary vision of our President Prof Dr M B Puranik to flourish Indian systems arises from his unshaken faith in Indian sciences which led to the dawn of Sharada Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital. His uncompromising ways of implementation of his belief ensured the birth of our full-fledged and well equipped Ayurveda hospital which has been recognized as one of the best Ayurveda hospitals.
Successful careers in Medical sciences largely depend on the practical exposure and the skills acquired during the course period. Therefore at Sharada we provide maximum practical exposure through patient interaction right from the 1st profession and increase it steadily as they progress through the course period. We conduct skill development seminars and workshops from time to time ensuring our students are skillful. We strongly believe that our teaching faculty is our asset and therefore recruit and maintain a motivated as well as dedicated set of teaching faculty. Food and hostel facilities provided to the students are inspected from time to time to ensure optimal quality. I cannot claim that our campus is flawless but I do claim that we are progressing towards making it flawless while being sensitive to your complaints and suggestions. This whole atmosphere forms an ideal breeding ground for genesis of several successful careers.
